My Fine Art Glamour Maternity Photography Sessions in Chester are designed for women who would like something more than simple pregnancy photographs. These sessions are about creating beautiful, elegant and artistic portraits that make you feel confident, feminine and truly celebrated during your pregnancy.
This is my more styled maternity photography experience, with carefully chosen backgrounds, beautiful maternity dresses, different looks throughout the session and detailed professional editing.
You don't need to know how to pose or feel comfortable in front of the camera. I will guide you through the session and show you how to position yourself to create elegant, flattering portraits.

Beautiful maternity dresses
You don't need to spend time searching for the perfect outfit.
I have a selection of beautiful maternity dresses, gowns, wraps and fabrics available in the studio. There are different styles to choose from, from elegant and flowing gowns to more fitted and glamorous looks.
Before and during your session, we can choose the outfits that work best with your shape, personality and the style of photographs you would like to create.
Different backgrounds and setups
One of the things that makes the Fine Art experience different is the variety.
We can work with different backgrounds, lighting, colours and artistic setups, creating a gallery that doesn't look like every photograph was taken in exactly the same place.
The session includes changes of outfits and styling, allowing us to create several different looks during your time in the studio.
Carefully edited photographs
Every selected photograph is professionally edited by me.
I take time with each image to create the finished Fine Art look, including careful skin retouching, colour correction, lighting adjustments and detailed finishing.
The aim isn't to make you look like someone else. It is to create a polished, elegant portrait while still keeping you looking like you.
How does the session work?
Your session is relaxed and guided from beginning to end.
When you arrive at the studio, we will talk about the kind of photographs you love and look through the available dresses and styling options.
We then create your different looks throughout the session, changing outfits and backgrounds as we go.
You don't need to worry about posing. I will guide you through each position and make small adjustments to your hands, arms, posture and dress so that everything looks natural and flattering.
You can also include your partner or children in some of your photographs if you would like to create a few family images alongside your maternity portraits.

You don't need to be a professional model or feel completely confident in front of the camera. Many of my clients tell me they are nervous before their session, and that is completely normal.
My job is to guide you and make you feel comfortable throughout the experience.
When is the best time for a maternity photography session?
I generally recommend booking your maternity photography session between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.
This is often when your bump has a beautiful, rounded shape while you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
Every pregnancy is different, so if you are outside this timeframe, please don't worry. Get in touch and we can talk about what would work best for you.
Can my partner or children be included?
Yes.
Although the Fine Art Glamour session focuses primarily on you and your pregnancy, your partner and children can be included in some photographs if you would like them to be part of the experience.
This gives you a mixture of beautiful individual maternity portraits and photographs showing the people who are sharing this special chapter with you.
Fine Art Glamour Maternity Photography FAQs
Do I need to bring my own maternity dresses?
No. I have a selection of maternity gowns, dresses, wraps and fabrics available in the studio. We can choose your outfits together to create different looks during your session.
How many outfits can I wear?
The session includes changes of outfits and styling. The exact number will depend on the flow of your session and the looks we are creating.
Do you provide the backgrounds and props?
Yes. The Fine Art session includes different backgrounds and carefully selected styling to create a variety of portraits.
Do you retouch the photographs?
Yes. Every selected image is individually edited and professionally finished. This includes colour and lighting adjustments and detailed skin retouching where appropriate.
Do I need to know how to pose?
Not at all. I will guide you throughout the entire session. I'll show you where to stand, how to position your body and what to do with your hands and arms.
Can my partner come?
Absolutely. Your partner can be included in some of the photographs if you would like them to be part of your maternity experience.
Can my children be photographed too?
Yes. We can include some family photographs during your maternity session, giving you a mixture of individual portraits and photographs with your children.
When should I book?
I recommend getting in touch during your pregnancy and ideally booking your session for around 28–36 weeks.
I don't feel confident in front of the camera. Is this for me?
Absolutely. You don't need any modelling experience. I guide you through every pose and make sure the dress, lighting and positioning work together to create flattering photographs.

My Fine Art Glamour maternity sessions take place at my photography studio in Chester, Cheshire. I welcome clients travelling from Chester, Cheshire, Wirral, Liverpool, Flintshire, North Wales and surrounding areas.
